camping

As usual I am a week behind in the blog world but better late than never. Two weekends ago our family of four went camping! I am happy to say that it was a great time.
You see, last summer we tried camping and i did not fare too well. So this was our trial run to make sure that we are still a camping family. Both Josh and I were pretty nervous but it was a success despite the rain! Hallel and Simeon were covered in dirt and had a blast. We borrowed a tent big enough for all of us. And Josh set up camp, made a roaring fire and his usual bacon, eggs, and pancakes for breakfast!

Hallel trying out the zippers on the tent
Being silly in the tent with daddy's hat.
Sleepy Simeon after a night of rain.
 Home sweet home.
Josh rigging up the lantern-everything about camping appeals to his manhood-he loves it!
and I enjoy watching him:)
Hallel spent a good amount of time walking around and sliding in the leaves!
Simeon watching all of the fun.
I absolutely love his bright blue happy eyes.
Trying to get a family picture
This is about the 10th picture and its still blurry.
Thanks to my patient husband-we did it!

sweet feet

Hallel has always loved playing with her shoes.
Now she has moved on to bigger shoes!
We find them all lined up around the house.
But my favorite is on two sweet feet!

PS we are trying potty training this week! more to follow:)

a visit from friends

Some of our dear friends Zoe and Zander came to visit Hallel and Simeon. It was such a treat to have such special friends hang out with our kiddos. Hallel didn't want Zoe to leave at the end. She loved the piggy back rides and stories and all of the big girl attention!

cuteness caught on tape

If a picture is worth a thousand words.
Than a video must be worth ten thousand:)
Enjoy!
I love finding Hallel being creative at play. This was one of those days when I found her in her room "reading".
Simeon dishes out huge smiles like there was no tomorrow. He loves sitting up and has started jibber jabbering. It's great!
This is our favorite little brown eyed pea trying out her new dance moves!
